How was everyone’s Thanksgiving weekend? It was rather long - 4 days, but good. We marinated the turkey on Wednesday evening, and roasted the bird on Thursday. That was all we had for Thanksgiving - the turkey. It was good though. Thursday was pretty much spent lazing, watching TV, playing video games, even Charlotte was sleeping most of the day. She’s such a pig! LOL.

We’d wanted to wake up really early on Friday to catch the sales at Fry’s but things didn’t turn out that way. We arrived at Fry’s at about 9-ish, which wasn’t so bad. Doug got himself a PC game, and a Yamaha Keyboard. I got myself a 160GB external HD Drive, and a nifty Auto Vacuum. I spent the later part of the day giving my car a full detail job (Wash, Clay, Clean, Polish, Wax).

Saturday morning we took Charlotte to class, and after that drove to the city for the Auto Show. It was so great to see all those cars in the show, and I got to sit in some of them - a Porsche, a Corvette, an Audi TT … man I wish I had one of those sports cars.

Sunday was “back to reality” day. We did some grocery shopping, and just lazed around again, watching TV, playing video games … I’m now in stage 3 of NFSU2, but still no RSX yet. Sigh …

Apple surprised me today with the delivery of my U2 iPod! Thanks, Apple! I can’t wait to open my Thanksgiving present! Here’s Clover checking out my new toy:

I am feeling really frustrated at Apple for delaying the shipment of my U2 iPod. Last week the status was “On or Before 11/19/2004″, and then now it says “On or Before 12/2/2004″ !!!!!! I wanna screeeeammmmmm!

We went to the CA Birdmart yesterday at the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds, and I got this really cool play gym for Clover - it’s got a swing, a play area, and an additional level for more “horsing” around. All this for only $35. I also got a Manzanita branch for him to add into his cage, for more perch space. He seems to enjoy his new perch.

If you love 80s music I’m sure you’ve heard of this song called “Only You”. It was sung by a group (?) called Yazoo. Last week, at the Bluehouse gig we went to, they covered that song, and my, it really felt nostalgic. Here is the song. Hopefully it brings back memories for you as it did for me.

Only You - Bluehouse

Sigh, I’m still waiting for my U2 iPod to arrive. The wait is too painful.

So yesterday, I went to EB Games at lunchtime to get the latest EA Games release - Need For Speed Underground 2, and after watching the Amazing Race 6, I played the game. I tell ya, it was cool, but as I start the Career option of the game, I was bummed that they only had a few lousy cars to choose from in the beginning. The Quick Play was fun as I got to familiarize myself with all the various races - Circuits, Drag, Sprint … Haven’t tried the online play yet, but might do it tonight. I can’t wait to get home to play!!!!

Last Friday an all-girl Australian band called Bluehouse was playing at the Espresso Garden in San Jose. Our good friend introduced us to their music and we decided to hear them live. It was a great evening. They might not be Catie (Curtis) but they do sing really well, and are quite entertaining and funny in between songs. Most of their songs were mellow, but there were a few that were upbeat and catchy. I bought 2 of their albums - “Big” and “These Days”. If you want to check out their music and get to know what they’re all about, you can go to their website at Bluehouse.net.

Today’s Charlotte’s first day of school - Puppy Basic Obedience Class. There are about 10 puppies in the class, most of them are bigger than Charlotte, with the exception of one Bichon Frise. There were two Retreivers, one Chow, one Pitbull Mix, one Cocker Spaniel, among others, and there was one Mexican Hairless Dog who was really sweet - his name is Happenstance. Even though he was like 5 times as big as Charlotte, he was so gentle and Charlotte wasn’t afraid of him. In fact Charlotte spent most of her time “begging” his owner for treats! We had brought sliced Turkey Ham, and Happenstance’s owner got Turkey Sausages. I guess sausages were yummier … or maybe it was just the “Grass is greener …” theory. ;)

I was really proud of her on her first day, coz even though she started off a little shaky, she warmed up really fast, and didn’t even make any potty accidents.

I saw a raccoon tonight, and can you believe it, it’s the first time I’ve seen one in real life. S/He was eating my neighbor’s cat food. We locked eyes for a few seconds.

I was hoping that since the pirated versions of U2’s upcoming album are all over the Internet, that they might release their new album today, but, doesn’t seem like its going to happen. Anyway, I’m still waiting “patiently” for my U2 iPod. Sooon …. Soooon!

I’ve been waiting for a year for GT4 to be released, and it looks like mid-December could be the official date. I can’t wait to start playin’! Here are some screen shots.

Personally I think the new BMW design is sweet. Click here for pics from Autoweek. The official BMW USA site also has a feature section on it.

Ever since I got my Red RSX I’ve started to become a car nut. The SEMA Show starts today in Las Vegas and lasts till the 5th. Wish I could be there. I also found Autoblog, which looks like a good place to read about Auto News and Trends. Another good site is Autoweek.

Though I am not an America Citizen, I urge everyone who CAN vote to go out today and VOTE. Every vote counts! For news on the Election, I’ll be watching NBC when I get home today as well as keep updated on the news on Yahoo.
