Doug got me the Zire 72s + TomTom GPS package. I think its quite a good buy - $449, with $50 mail-in rebate. Considering that I almost got the TomTom Go Plus for $689 on ebay. Anyway. I love this new PDA of mine. The screen is so clear, and there has been much improvement in terms of software and stylus (Graffiti 2) usability. I’m happy with my present. Oh did I mention that the Zire 72s has a 1.2MP built-in camera as well as bluetooth and mp3 player? Sweetness!

Now all I need is a 1GB SD card …

No matter how much you look forward to a holiday, it will eventually come and go as quickly as you can say “AHH”. So, Christmas is over for the year, was it good for you? We took Charlotte to Palo Alto Baylands on Christmas Day. It was her first outdoor/offroad walk, and she was so thrilled to smell new smells, see the gulls, and other shore birds flying arond, it was fun. CLICK HERE FOR PICS. We pretty much spent the last 3 days at home, playing video games. We did make Shepherd’s Pie, and bought a 6 pound Honey-Baked Ham too. I lighted my tree, which Clover really loves - he stares at the lights like how Gollum stares at the ring. heheh … “My Precioussss ….”

This will be a quiet week over here, traffic will be light too, which is nice for a change, but this morning it rained cats and dogs and the roads were slippery. I hope tomorrow’s weather will be better. Good thing I didn’t wash our cars last weekend ;)

Anyway, Charlotte’s with me now. She seems more subdued when its raining … wonder why. It’s so quiet here now I can hear the whirring of the computers …

Hooray! Last Saturday Charlotte got her certificate for completion of puppy class. We are so proud of her. :) This is the first step towards earning her Canine Good Citizen certificate. Good girl, Charlotte!

We were supposed to practice the “emergency recall” and the “heeling technique” on Charlotte this week as homework, and I did it religiously for Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. On Wednesday I sorta got lazy, and didn’t get the chance to work on it. Thursday and now Friday. This morning I did the heeling practice for her. I ran out of “extra-special” treats for Charlotte. phooey. Gotta go get some chicked strips later this evening.

I’ll admit that I suck when it comes to directions, so I think this Christmas hopefully someone will get me a GPS for my car. After searching the web for cheap GPS systems, I found the Garmin Quest, which costs like $500 on Amazon, not bad. I wanna.
