We’ve been in Singapore for a little more than a week now, and I’m beginning to feel bored. When we’re on the road, I spent most of my time staring at cars driving by. It’s interesting to see those cars that aren’t found in the US, like the Toyota Vios, Honda City, Jazz and Fit, as well as Nissan Cefiro, Sunny etc. My RSX is known as the Honda Integra GSR here, and they look really cool. Since I only have dial up right now I can’t upload all the pics I’ve taken, but I will definitely do so when I get access to a broadband connection.
Yesterday was Valentine’s Day, and we decided to spend the day going to the places we usually hung out when we were in Singapore. Lunch was a Han’s at Far East Plaza, and the food, I’ll have to say, tastes about the same. Even the menu hasn’t changed, which was good. Many of the places we frequented weren’t around anymore, places like Petit Monde at Isetan Orchard, or the Japanese Restaurant on the 3rd floor of Takashimaya.
In the evening we drove to the Esplanade and enjoyed the view of the city from the roof terrace. It was beautiful, and romantic too, if you ignore the balmy weather
. Being Valentine’s Day, there were many couples on the roof with us. The city skyline was awesome at night, with all the lights and everything.

We’re waiting to visit our relatives. Today’s the 2nd day of Chinese New Year. One word - tiring. But it was good to meet all our peeps again. ttyl!
Singapore time now is - Feb 8, 11:45pm
We are back in Singapore to celebrate Chinese New Year. Didn’t have Internet connection for 2 days, so I did not get the chance to update my blog. I’m now connected by dialup, which is alright. Just wanted to wish everyone a great Chinese New Year. We just came back from our reunion dinner. Yesterday we had reunion lunch with my Mom, Dad and Bro at a Thai Restaurant, where we had a bowl of Shark’s Fin soup each. Man, that was good. My feet are aching from walking so much yesterday coz I wanted to get clothes for the new year. Not much luck though, had to settle for just a pink colored top.
The weather is so balmy here - everytime I finish eating I get all nauseated for no reason. It’s a sucky feeling. But there’s so much nice food here!
Tomorrow’s the big day - CNY day one. Lots of visiting of relatives, and more walking! *yawn* feeling really sleepy now, goodnight and I’ll tell you more tomorrow.
I can’t take it anymore. Everyday I have to clear about a hundred of those pesky comment spam from my blog. What is it with these people? Because of that I’m not allowing ANY comments to be posted. If you genuinely want to leave a comment, please do so in my personal forum. Sorry for any inconvenience, but until this spam issue gets resolved in subsequent versions of Wordpress, its the only way to stop these people.
I can’t believe I’m down with da cold again. Twice this year! The weather’s messing with me!
For those of you who have Gmail, did you notice that you’re suddenly given 50 invites per account? That is a lot of invites to give out. Google’s taking over the Internet! ![]()
We will be going back to Singapore, and my co-worker is looking afer Charlotte and Clover for me. I can’t belive how quiet it is here at home, right now. I know I need to pack, but I feel aimless. Life’s boring without pets. Gosh I miss them already.
This is a blog about a Mom and her life with her husband, toddler daughter, two rat terriers, one green-cheeked conure, and one leopard gecko. Web developer by day, gamer by night.
