The more I think about it, the MINI Cooper S is starting to grow on me. I’d love to have one of those red ones with the black bonnet, black stripes, and the JCW tuning kit.

Take a look:

After weeks of gloomy, wet weather, the Bay Area finally sees some sun and clear skies - temperature in the 70s. I saw lots of dogs out on walks while taking Charlotte on her daily poopie walk. What a lovely day.

Took my RSX to service this morning. If you remember, I had the CEL turned on but it went off after 1 day. Anyway, they did a check and turned out to be a glitch in the electronics. Fortunately there wasn’t anything wrong with the engine.

Since my car was there I had a 5,000 oil and filter change.

This is weird. I washed my car during the weekend, and yesterday as I was backing up into the parking lot, I noticed my CEL had come on. It could be just some electric hiccup, but I’m taking it to the dealer just to be sure nothing major’s “cooking” under the hood.

The battery of our Miata died, again. So this morning we called AAA to come help us jump start the car. After checking the battery life, the guy told us that it had a dead cell, and the battery needs to be replaced. So earlier today, we drove to a Mazda dealer to get the battery replaced. Now the little red car felt like it has a new lease of life!

Last night, we went to pick up Cayenne. We brought Charlotte with us. I drove while Doug handled the two of them. Charlotte wanted nothing to do with Cayenne. Cayenne, on the other hand, seemed to have woken up from her sleep and was sleepy all throughout the ride home.

Honestly, I was worried that the two might not hit it off together, but after one day, and many rough housings later, they are now sleeping side by side! For more pics of the two sweeties, please visit my Pets Blog.

So did you catch the Pilot episode of The Office? I love Steve Carell, he’s hilarious! Doug didn’t quite like it though. Oh well.

The Official Site has got me wanting to get the game. I’m a sucker for Greek mythology.

I can’t believe how true this is

So, did you preorder your PSP from ebgames or gamestop? Today’s the day! I didn’t coz I didn’t like the way they bundled the device with games that I don’t like. I know there’ll be a mad rush for PSPs in the coming months, so I’ll wait till after the craziness dies down a bit before thinking about getting one.

This is a collection of songs found on the MB site. Great ambient, jazz, lounge music, nice and relaxing. Check it out at http://www.mercedes-benz.com/mixedtape.

We Tivo’ed Dragons on Animal Planet, and watched it last night. I never know Dragons could be real. They even discovered frozen fossils of an actual dragon baby in Rumania? Its just so weird, but I’m definitely more interested in dragons now and would like to read more about them. Fasinating indeed. If you haven’t watched it, you can catch re-runs on Animal Planet or buy the DVD.

I just ordered the Voodoo Spun Magnum Shift Knob. I can’t wait for it to arrive.

=== Update at 3/22/05, 5:30pm: They don’t have the one I order in stock, so I gotta settle for a Pearl Magnum instead.

I’m quite worried for Charlotte because there is swelling on the surgery area where the stitches are. I called the Doc and he left me a voice mail saying that it could be due to fluid retention, and to monitor it a few days as it takes time for it to subside. Today’s Day 4, and I did see a little improvement, but the swell still looks pretty obvious. If by tomorrow it still looks the same I’m going to take her to the Doc for a check, just to make sure nothing’s wrong.

She doesn’t seem to be in pain, and has been eating, though not much. The only odd thing is that her poop is much lesser and it only comes out a little blob each time. Sigh …

=== Update at 5pm: After enquiring with the bRat Group, I found out that this swelling has happened to quite a few members’ female dogs and they suggested putting some ice on the wound. I will try it tonight and see if it works. I sure am relieved that this is not something out of the ordinary!

I spent the last weekend making over the Miata, and Doug helped. First I washed the car, then clayed it, then washed the car again, Next was polishing with ColorX, followed by the Polish, and Wax. The key scratch on the hood I used Langka, but I don’t think I did a good job removing the paint blobs. The process took most part of Saturday and part of Sunday, but now, at least we brought some shine back to the paint.
