Just wanted to wish all you guys a Happy Halloween. The ratties are here with me right now, and we will have lunch with the dogs dressed in Halloween costumes. What fun!

This has been an odd week, and it might be because of the DST adjustment this weekend, or maybe its because I took a day off yesterday to celebrate Doug’s Birthday. So, where did we go? Dim Sum for brunch, Golf in the afternoon, and hot pot for dinner. I’ve not been to Summitpointe GC before, and it was really beautiful. So much wildlife, including deer, squirrels, little voles, and hawks.
Fedex delivered my iPod this morning, but no one was home, so Doug had to pick it up from the Fedex on hold location in the evening. I love this thing - larger screen, able to store music, photos, and video … and 60GB baby!

Ahhh, it’s good to get back to TVLand once again after 2 weeks of “No Satellite Signal” from our good friends at DirectTV. Yesterday the Comcast guy came and hooked us up with Cable TV and Broadband. Dang, DirectTV has brought us so much grief that its good to switch. Now I’m trying to figure out how to connect our Broadband router to the cable modem so we can have wireless connection in the house. It seemed so simple with the DSL connection, but I just couldn’t make it happen on the cable part. Oh well, I’ll try again tonight.
For this week I bought 2 albums from the iTunes Music Store:
1) Back to Bedlam by James Blunt
2) Intensive Care by Robbie Williams
Apple has recently added songs from China into their iTunes Music Store. It can be found in the World Music section. Now when will they add Canto Pop? Add your comments at TUAW.
A cool site - it has videos, a photo gallery and an interview with Shiro Nakamura. Not sure if this site is up for a limited time only.

I really like this song by Melissa Etheridge. Here are the lyrics:
I Run For Life
It’s been years since they told her about it
The darkness her body possessed
And the scars are still there in the mirror
Everyday that she gets herself dressed
Though the pain is miles and miles behind her
And the fear is now a docile beast
If you ask her why she is still running
She’ll tell you it makes her complete
[Chorus:]
I run for hope
I run to feel
I run for the truth
For all that is real
I run for your mother your sister your wife
I run for you and me my friend I run for life
It’s a blur since they told me about it
How the darkness had taken its toll
And they cut into my skin and they cut into my body
But they will never get a piece of my soul
And now I’m still learning the lesson
To waken when I hear the call
And if you ask me why I am still running
I’ll tell you I run for us all
[Chorus]
And someday if they tell you about it
If the darkness knocks on your door
Remember her remember me
We will be running as we have before
Running for answers
Running for more
Yes guys, I’m officially done with my twenties after yesterday, when I “celebrated” my entry into the thirties. It was a good day too (Thanks, Doug!) At about 11am we went to IHOP for brunch. Ordered my favorite Pork Chops & Eggs. After that we drove to Blackberry Farm for a game of golf, shopped at Fry’s, and had dinner at my favortie Szechuan place. We had initially wanted to watch the Wallace & Gromit movie, but it was already late, and since it was a Sunday, we decided to go home. My only regret is we didn’t get to go anywhere we could bring Charlotte & Cayenne, but they are with me now, at work, napping as usual.
Rumor has it that Apple is going to release their Video iPod next Wednesday, October 12. Anyway, since my birthday’s on the 9th, I told Doug that as a present, get me “whatever Apple releases on Wednesday”. He’s agreed.
Isn’t this exciting?
If you are Singaporean, that is. This morning, two Chinese Singaporeans “… became the first bloggers in multi-racial Singapore to be punished under the city-state’s tough anti-sedition legislation for posting anti-Muslim remarks on the Internet.”
