My first yoga/pilates lesson
I never exercise, but since after the pregnancy, I’ve been feeling bad about my weight. I get flab at all the wrong places, and I don’t feel as healthy as I used to be. So for 2007 I’m going to promise myself that I will do something about it and start living healthy. So today I went to my FIRST yoga/pilates lesson with my good friend. As you could have assumed, I literally didn’t know what to expect, but now as I sit here writing about it, I must say it was a good first experience and yes I will do it again.
My interpretation of dieting has always been to starve yourself, and now after reading the introductory chapter of “You on a Diet”, I realized I’ve been doing it wrong. One statement struck me like a hit on the head - “When you lose weight without exercise, you lose both muscle and fat, but when you gain weight without exercise, you gain only fat.” That means I’ve been accumulating fat all these years like a friggin’ mutual fund! So everytime I lose the weight, and gain it back again, I’m gaining MORE fat than I initially lost! I’ve got to put a stop to this NOW. From now on, I will eat healthy! Let this blog entry be a testimony to my conviction!
