Celebrating Grandma’s Birthday

Rebecca and Mom Dinner @ Todai

Today was fun. We drove to the city in the afternoon. First stop - Ocean Beach. I know it can be windy during certain months, but I wasn’t expecting the strong winds that day. Heck I was even in T-shirt and Shorts! I’d prepared a towel, and an extra change of clothes for Rebecca, expecting her to play in the sand, and waddle in the water. We did neither of that. The winds were so strong, and it was really chilly. D and I were just shivering. Anyway we managed to take a few pics. It was Rebecca’s first visit to the beach, and she was just overwhelmed by the “blueness” of it all. Hopefully when the weather warms we can take her to Santa Cruz or Monterey where the beaches are warmer.

We then went to Chinatown to get groceries for the week. For dinner we went to Todai where D’s Mom enjoyed a free meal because it was her birthday. Rebecca was so mesmerized by the decor of the place, she was laughing and pointing to all the cute characters hanging on the walls. So funny. See more pics here.
