What to cook?

I constantly find myself asking this question. It’s been a week since I restarted working from home, and I have to take care of Reb’s breakfast, lunch, snack, and dinner.

For carbs I cycle between pasta, rice and noodles.
For meat, its either chicken, ground pork, ground beef, and ground turkey.
Vegetables include the squash family, broccoli, baby bok choi, sweet potatoes, potatoes, and carrots.
For flavor/accents, I use soy sauce, cheese, ketchup, and garlic.
Snacks are either waffles, crackers, wheat bread, or some other bread-type foods.

We have a juicer, and Reb gets a cup of fresh apple/pear/carrot juice almost once a day.

I would love to hear from moms who cook for their children what foods they cook for their little ones.

Cooking for Harriet and me during the week can be a challenge. For the most part we eat leftovers. I also have to remember to have lots of fruit and veg on hand. Harriet loves bananas, grapes, tangerines and tomatoes.

Usually for breakfast the four of us have cold cereal with dried cranberries. Then for lunch sometimes Harriet and I have a scrambled egg. She also likes soup but with out the water — so that it’s just a thick stew. I scoop out her portion before I add the water for my portion.

Rebecca likes tomatoes too, especially the small and sweet ones like grape tomatoes. I’ll try to add egg into her diet.
