I have a vision - that in 10 years time, insects will become a viable food source for the world. Today, insects are seen as exotic foods, only to be consumed by the adventurous foodie. But if you think about it, there is no other alternative source of protein that will require little space per output. It seems like a no brainer.
I always get the same reaction from people. "I'll never eat insects." Or "that's crazy."
In the meantime, in 2017, I have started a blog. It is called "Local Growers", and I will use this blog to share my knowledge about urban farming and agriculture technology as I learn about them. Because I believe that people are not ready for insects, but people are ready for conversations about alternative methods of farming, food security, and reducing the carbon footprint of the food industry by shortening the distance from farm to table.
I'm starting from zero. Join me at http://thelocalgrowers.com to learn together.
Thanks. Have a great week ahead.
